The call for peace is present in my life and the (peace) sign is popping up all over the place. Holessence contacted me in regards to selling my Bodhi Spirit peace sign and peace dove necklaces at the Environmental and Peace Event at McHenry County College on Thursday, April 16th. Inspired by this event, I created these handmade peace and love pendants that will also be available for purchase. We took the kids into the city for the weekend to Celebrate our daughter's birthday and while the kids enjoyed playing in the sand and we enjoyed soaking up the sun on Lake Michigan, I noticed a shiny silver band at my feet. When I picked it up, I saw that it was a peace ring, and it fits perfectly. This morning at Yoga, Silvia's lesson for our practice was mediatating on Peace. I am taking it to heart.....

I spent New Years Eve at my yoga studio for a 2 hour candlelight yoga. There were 53 people in the class with mats laid from wall to wall. It was an inspiring and energizing practice. An amazing way to release the past and welcome the year ahead.

Elizabeth Gilbert

I saw Elizabeth Gilbert on Oprah today (along with half the planet I think). We read her book "Eat Pray, Love" for our book club in September. I had absolutely no idea how huge her book has become. I was glad I got to see it. Her journey reinforced for me a lot of the principles that are in "The Secret" which I read this summer. At the end of her hour on Oprah today she talked about three things that anyone could do every day to aid them on their journey to inner contentment.

Just wanted to share these.... in case you are one of the few people that didn't see Oprah :)

1. Ask yourself every day, "What do I really, really, really want"

2. At the end of each day, write down your happiest moment ( and go back and look at these from time to time.)

3. Refine your mantra (whatever it is you repeat to yourself constantly) If it is not working for you, Change your mantra!

These may sound simple, but I dare you to try it and see if your life changes.... I think you would be surprised !
